FACC Executive Board Meeting
March 28, 2003

Present: Carole Bartholomew, Mac Dismuke, Casey Kirchoff, Kimberley Smith
Old Business:
United Way Day of Caring-April 5 at Evangeline Booth Gardens Apts.
Region III meeting-April 7thCasey is finalizing plans for April 7th; she passed around a sign-up sheet for those of us who can help out; she discussed the school bus theme
Plant Sale April 16 and 17th the first day (8am-8pm) open to the public; the second day (8am-12pm) open to CFCC
March of Dimes walk-a-thon April 26th; suggested that we have a general envelope for FACC team; perhaps FACC team can pass batons if we have some who do not or cannot walk the entire circuit.
Motion was made and carried to cancel April 4th General meeting due to April 7th Region III meeting
Motion made and carried to move April 25th Executive Board meeting to Friday April 18th
Meeting dates / location
Discussed meeting monthly, but not in same week as CPEC; FACC will not meet over the summer.

FACC Endowment
Carole noted that the $600 recently donated to Foundation went to miscellaneous scholarship. An FACC Endowment was started by Tony Gill in a past year, and it has possibility for achieving matching funds. FACC Endowment fundraiser should not be during United Way campaign

Water Break instead of Brownie Break as suggested by Debbie Bowe
July 4th Picnic: Chef Robert to design a healthy picnic menu
Gyms to have booths and physical activities (Gail Akin)
Holiday Luncheon
Culinary Arts students contest to make healthy desserts with voting to judge best by luncheon attendees
