Special Business/Guests: Welcome and Candy Bars for New Attendees; Joan Luebbe distributed FACC membership cards; payroll deduction for FACC will be this next pay period; CFCC is late in collecting dues for the calendar year 2003; given that the Chapter wants to be done with collecting next years dues on time (this Fall), it may seem like weve paid twice in one year.

Mac Dismuke reported on the status of the House and Senate bills for funding; members were urged to contact legislators (without using CFCC materials or email). Perceptions is on the intranet with a listing of the bills that have passed or not passed.

Secretary's Minutes: Minutes of 7 March 2003 were approved.

Treasurer's Report: SPD funds stand at $596.00. The Trust fund is at $1235.00 with a 1133.65 spendable balance.

Activities Report: Diana Ryon reported on the Plant Sale. We earned $391.00. Special thanks to Cara Bennett for all her organizing efforts and to Bob Dumond and his students.

Diana presented the Region III for Casey Kirchoff. Thanks go to Jim Moyer for his SMILE seminar and to Bob DuMond for plants for the prize drawings.

The FACC 4th of July Picnic will be held on Weds, July 2nd. Volunteers are needed for set-up, clean up etc. Contact Casey Kirchoff if you can assist.

Bob Zelinski and Gail Akin are organizing a Healthy Me! wellness activity at the gym on the same day.

Debbie Bowe will organize the summer Brownie Break. Bring brownies, preferably already individually wrapped, at 2:00pm on June 19th. Debbie will invite Levy and Citrus to participate if they organize the efforts on their campuses.

Carole Bartholomew will organize the Water Break in June in recognition of drink more water month for the Healthy Me! campaign.

Old Business: Thanks went to Carol S. Smith for organizing and running the March of Dimes Blue jeans for Babies effort.

The United Way Day of Caring was a great success and several FACC members participated.

Cara reported on the CPEC Employee Appreciation Day event attended by 135 people. Thanks to CPEC for allowing FACC to assist in this ever-popular annual event.

Book Scholarships: a correction of past minutes: the amount was $650. There was discussion about the specific amount per student and number of students to award. Motions were made and carried for 3 awards of $100 each for Summer 2003 and 3 for Fall 2003. The CFCC Financial Aid Committee in July will select the 3 students for the Fall 2003 term.

New Business: Various statewide commission meetings are upcoming including Student Development Commission and the Membership Commission.

The Chapter book is due July 1st. We will be seeking volunteers to help in organizing and designing the Chapter book to make it a Chapter-wide effort.

Announcements: Debbie Bowe reminded us that as of August 15th, CFCC will not be accepting new student applications for Fall 2003.

Next Meeting: June 19th (Brownie Break Day), 2:00pm; 5-104.

Respectfully submitted by: Kimberley Smith
