Call to Order - Mac Dismuke, President
Mac Dismuke called the meeting to order and he welcomed everyone to the meeting.
Welcome to New Members - Carol S. Smith, Membership
Membership: Candy bars and FACC bags were passed out to our four new members.
Thank you/Appreciation - Hurricane Katrina Relief
Mac thanked those members who helped with the hurricane Katrina events. $2400 will be given to the FACC Foundation. Mac also thanked Lindsey Gubin and Casey Shipe for their efforts.
Reports
Secretary’s Minutes Jamie Schofield, Secretary
The minutes from last months meeting will be posted on the web, if you have any corrections please contact Jamie Schofield or Mac Dismuke.
Treasurer’s Report - Dan Figler, Treasurer
Treasurer’s report will also be posted on the web. The money in the account does not reflect the accurate amount in the report. There are dues that still have not been collected. Carol Smith mentioned that money used for the 4th of July Picnic came out of the college activity fund and not the trust account which needs to be corrected. Carol Bartholomew mentioned that she has $1500-1700 in a separate college activity fund used for FACC. Dan Figler mentioned that he would not publish that account in the actual report.
Activities Report - Kimberley Smith, Activities
Kimberley Smith reported on the upcoming activities. The Fall Harvest Luncheon will be held on Thursday, November 10 in the Webber Center. Jamie Schofield reported on the upcoming FACC fundraiser that will be held on the Citrus Campus on October 24 and the Ocala Campus on October 31 and November 7. Kimberley also mentioned that FACC will be taking over the roles for the Employee Appreciation Breakfast.
Membership Report - Carol Smith, Membership
Carol Smith reported that we have 15-20 new members that are current employees and about 20 new employees that joined.
Special Guests/Presentations Mac Dismuke/Staci Priest
Mac Dismuke and Staci Priest introduced the new CFCC Website that is set to launch January 3, 2006. Mac thanked Staci for presenting and gave her a FACC candy bar.
Old Business
Joan Cosma mentioned that she is still receiving the FACC publications and that the name needs to switched in Tallahassee to reflect the new person.
New Business
Mac Dismuke congratulated Jerome Gamble for the Exemplary Practice Award.
Carole Bartholomew spoke about the Evangeline Booth for Thanksgiving and mentioned that she was going to use the left over materials from the Welcome Back Bash. She also welcomed any donations for travel shampoo and conditioner sets to be put in the bags as well. Carol Smith is going to collect the Thanksgiving bags at the dollar tree and mentioned that Dr. Fisher might have shampoo sets to donate.
Bob DuMond offered for anyone interested to come take a Colius snipping for their gardens.
Mac Dismuke spoke about the nominations for 2006 and went over some of the vacant positions. Amber Rutz mentioned that she would take on the Career and Professional Commission Rep.
Mac also spoke about the convention and went over the reservations and the list of people attending. Carol Smith needs baby related items to fill the basket for the raffle at the convention. Carole Bartholomew needs picnic and/or wine items for the donated door prize as well. Mac mentioned that there would again be a suite for CFCC at the convention which is provided by Dr. Dassance.
Kimberley Smith talked about some upcoming speaker events and provided flyers with the information for people who might be interested.
Congratulations to Debbie Cook, Joanne Bellovin, Carla SanGiacomo, and Dan Figler won the door prizes and the 50/50 split.
