Tuition Waivers and Assistance

Employees of CF have many opportunities to further their education through tuition waivers and assistance. Listed below are descriptions and processes that you may use for your educational and financial planning.

CF Tuition Assistance for Employees
Requests and subsequent reimbursement at the end of the term is on a “first come, first served” basis and must be for only the cost of tuition up to $315 for undergraduate courses (junior level and above) or up to $750 for graduate courses for any given term. Only one request per term may be submitted, with a limit of three per academic year. They should be submitted four weeks prior to the beginning of the course. Complete and send the Employee Course Tuition Assistance Application to the Office of Professional Development. For additional information, contact the Office of Professional Development, ext. 1708.

Prior to class:

  1. Approximately four weeks prior to beginning class, complete a tuition assistance request for the current term.
  2. Obtain your supervisor’s or academic department/division supervisor’s signature and submit your application to the Office of Professional Development.
  3. Within two weeks, you will receive a confirmation letter approving your request. If you have not received an approval message prior to starting class, contact the Office of Professional Development (ext. 1708) to verify your request was received and approved.

Upon completion of class:  Submit a copy of your grade report (C or better) and payment receipt to the Office of Professional Development within four weeks. All reimbursements must be processed before the end of the fiscal year (July 1 – June 30) during which the course was taken.

Barry University Discount for CF Employees
Full-time CF employees receive a 20% discount on tuition for Barry University courses.  Contact the Barry University representative at the University Center for further information, extension 1805.
