Individuals who are out of work or who want to reskill or upskill are eligible to apply for a variety of programs and may qualify to attend with no tuition expenses. The following short-term, in-demand programs have been funded by a recent Rapid Credentialing Grant award from the state of Florida. Accounting Technology Specialist

Accounting Technology Specialist

Time to Complete: 12 Credit Hours

Learn the basic principles and standards of accounting as well as office procedures, such as  bank reconciliations, payroll functions, and accounts receivable and payable.

Computer Information Data Specialist

Computer Information Data Specialist

Time to Complete: 9 Credit Hours

Students who complete this program leave with a fundamental understanding of Microsoft Office, computer hardware and software, and database management.

EMT

Emergency Medical Technician

Time to Complete: 12 Credit Hours

Take the first step toward a career in Emergency Medical Services. Graduates of this program are eligible to apply for state certification and may find work as an EMT on ambulances, in hospitals, in industrial settings and more.

Entrepreneurship

Entrepreneurship

Time to Complete: 12 Credit Hours

The College Credit Certificate in Entrepreneurship offers small business owners and emerging entrepreneurs the skills and foundation to build a profitable and sustainable enterprise. Courses are taught by experts who have founded or helped establish successful businesses.

Lean Six Sigma CCC

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

Time to Complete: 12 Credit Hours

This program is designed to provide students with considerable experience in manufacturing with the knowledge and skills to become a quality control technician. It is also designed for individuals who already have a degree in engineering technology and who wish to train for a career in quality control.

Logistics

Logistics and Transportation Specialist

Time to Complete: 18 Credit Hours

This program prepares students for entry-level employment in the transportation, distribution, and logistics industry, exposing students to the business of supply chain, including operations, purchasing, warehousing and distribution, and more. The scholarship funds two classes for an industry certification.

Scholarship Eligibility

To qualify for the Rapid Credentialing Scholarship, you must:

  • be a Florida resident for tuition purposes
  • have completed a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) demonstrating financial need
  • meet financial aid Satisfactory Academic Progress standards

Alternatively, applicants who are referred by CareerSource Citrus-Levy-Marion will also be considered.

Rapid Credentialing scholarship funds are available on a first-come, first-served basis and may cover up to 100 percent of tuition and fees, depending on availability.
