SUMMARY:Student Art Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:CF’s Student Art Exhibition is open to the public at the College of Central Florida Webber Gallery March 28-May 5. This annual show provides students with an opportunity to present their work in a professional environment. There will be a variety of work on display.  \nThe exhibition will be judged and juried by Carla Poindexter\, Professor of Studio art at the University of Central Florida. Professor Carla Poindexter teaches intermediate and advanced painting\, advanced drawing\, and foundations design at UCF. She also teaches various classes in upper level experimental book arts\, studio concentration\, and seminars in SVAD’s Studio Art MFA program. Poindexter is actively involved in the BFA and MFA programs’ growth and has served as chair of several HIM and MFA thesis committees.  \nUnder the direction of judge Carla Poindexter\, awards for Best in Show\, First Place\, Second Place\, Third Place\, and Honorable Mentions will be awarded.

SUMMARY:Summer Spotlight XXV Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:The Visual Artists’ Society presents “Summer Spotlight XXV” with Town and Country as the theme\, at the College of Central Florida Webber Center Gallery May 16-July 28. This biannual exhibit will display the talent and imagination of many local artists belonging to the Visual Artists’ Society. This exhibition will display a variety of styles and mediums\, including traditional paintings\, photographs\, 3-D objects\, and digital media. \nThe exhibition will be judged by Ronda Richley who has 50 years of art experience as an educator and various art business ownerships from coast to coast. She received her Master of Studio Art degree from the University of California. Her art work has been on display in Barcelona\, the UK\, Art Basel Miami\, New York\, Zurich and Los Angeles. She has judged both student and professional art exhibits. Horse Fever 2021 introduced her to Ocala where she has recently moved. Her horse Sunny Daze can be found at the College of Central Florida Vintage Farm. \nSummer gallery hours are Monday through Thursday\, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The gallery is closed Fridays\, Saturdays\, Sundays and college observed holidays.
