SUMMARY:VAS Best of the Season Exhibit
DESCRIPTION:The Visual Artists’ Society presents “Best of the Season: In Search of Excellence.” One of two VAS exhibitions each year\, “Best of the Season” has always been an important and exciting part of the Webber series of exhibits. \nThe exhibit will be judged by Marcella Martin who is a sculptor\, watercolorist and rocket scientist. There will be ribbons for Best of Show\, First\, Second\, and Third Place\, as well as for four Honorable Mentions. \nThe public is invited to an opening reception for this year’s Best of the Season Exhibition on Tuesday\, Nov. 16\, from 5pm-7pm at the CF Webber Gallery. The show will run from Monday\, Nov. 8\, through Thursday\, Dec. 9\, 2021. Admission is free. \nExhibit Dates: Nov. 8-Dec. 9\, 2021 \nGallery Hours: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.\, Monday through Thursday

DESCRIPTION:In honor of United States military veterans\, visit the Appleton from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Thursday\, Nov. 11\, with no admission fee. Special exhibitions on view will include “Alphonse Mucha: Master of Art Nouveau\,” “Heart of the Horse: Photographs by Juliet van Otteren\,” and “A Dickens Christmas: The Urban Family Holiday Exhibition.” Visitors can also enjoy self-guided artmaking and activity stations in the Artspace. \nAdditionally\, military veterans enjoy free admission year-round at the Appleton by showing an ID or discharge papers. \n
