DESCRIPTION:The Webber Gallery presents “Next text\,” a collection of work by multicultural artists from across the country will showcase an intriguing display of storytelling through the use of text in the visual arts. The exhibition was curated by CF Professor of Art Tyrus Clutter and Sheila Goloborotko\, an associate professor of printmaking at University of North Florida\, whose artwork has been featured in past exhibitions at the Webber Gallery. \nThe exhibition will open on Thursday\, Oct. 6\, and be on view through Thursday\, Oct. 27. Admission is free.\nThe community is invited to an opening reception  on Thursday\, Oct. 6\, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. \nThe Webber Gallery is located at the CF Ocala Campus\, 3001 S.W. College Road. Hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Thursday\, and admission is free. For more information\, call 352-854-2322\, ext. 1664.

DESCRIPTION:Join us at the Ocala Campus in Building 8\, Room 110 to hear from legendary author Eileen Myles for a poetry reading\, book giveaway and signing\, followed by a free copy of their latest work for the first 35 attendees! \nAbout the Author \nEileen Myles is a pioneer in literature-proudly authoring more than twenty books\, including For Now\, Evolution\, Afterglow (a dog memoir)\, Chelsea Girls\, and I Must Be Living Twice: New & Selected Poems 1974-2014. Myles’s many honors include four Lambda Literary Awards\, the Clark Prize for Excellence in Arts Writing\, the Shelley Memorial Award from the Poetry Society of America\, Creative Capital’s Literature Award as well as their Andy Warhol Foundation Arts Writers Grant\, and a Foundation for Contemporary Arts grant. They were also rewarded the Lambda Pioneer Award for contributions to the LGBT literary community. Myles lives in Marfa\, Texas\, and New York City. \nThis event is part of the CF Visiting Author Series.
