SUMMARY:The Gap Between Art and Life Biennial Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:The College of Central Florida Webber Gallery presents “The Gap Between Art and Life Biennial Exhibition” Sept. 2-Oct. 6. This biannual competitive exhibition will display jury panel selected installation art. Out of 97 submissions\, eight various artworks by artists from across the southeastern United States were chosen for this exhibition.  \nThe chosen installations will allow visitors to interact with the gallery space in new and unique ways. The jury panel consisted of Leslie Hammond\, president of Artistic Eye Fine Art Services\, and Victoria Billig\, assistant director of the Appleton Museum of Art. \nGallery hours are Monday through Thursday\, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The gallery is closed Fridays\, Saturdays\, Sundays and college observed holidays. For more information call 352-854-2322\, ext. 1552. \nThe public is invited to the opening reception on Thursday\, Sept. 11 from 4-6 p.m. The exhibition and reception are free.

DESCRIPTION:LifeSouth Blood Center will hold blood drives on the Ocala Campus on Monday\, Sept. 22 through Wednesday\, Sept. 24\, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Look for the bloodmobile near Building 11. \nRemember – one donation can save three lives! Give today! \nDonors will be provided thank you gifts. \nDonors must be 16 or older\, weigh at least 110 pounds and show photo ID. 16-year-olds require parental permission. \nStudents are encouraged to participate as part of the Student Life club challenge – don’t forget to mention to the staff which club you are representing!
