SUMMARY:"There's Nothin' to do in Slowcala!?" Webber Gallery Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:The community is invited to explore the “There’s Nothin’ to do in Slowcala!?”\, a solo exhibition featuring the work of Ocala photographer Tommy Cuevas\, at the Webber Gallery on view 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday\, Oct. 27\, – Thursday\, Dec. 11. \nOnce known by the tongue-in-cheek nickname “Slowcala\,” Ocala has often carried the reputation of being a sleepy town with little to do. Cuevas’ photography flips that perception on its head. His images capture the everyday vibrancy\, humor\, and hidden beauty of a community alive with activity. Cuevas documents the heartbeat of a growing city in motion. \nDon’t miss the exhibition’s opening reception on Thursday\, Oct. 30\, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. \nTopics and concepts presented at this event are for discussion purposes only and are not intended to espouse\, promote\, advance\, inculcate\, or compel individuals to believe the topics or concepts presented therein. Nor do they constitute endorsement of such topics or concepts by the College of Central Florida\, its Board of Trustees\, or any of their officers\, employees\, or agents.
