DESCRIPTION:The College of Central Florida’s Ira Holmes International Film Series presents a full season of films\, film talks and special events. \nThis is a special screening event with a film talk with Patricia Tomlinson. Tomlinson is an art historian\, AIHOM Executive Director and former Curator of Exhibitions at the Appleton Museum of Art\, College of Central Florida. Tomlinson received degrees from the University of Colorado\, Boulder\, Colorado State University and the University of Denver. In addition to her degrees in art history and museum studies\, Tomlinson has completed extensive coursework in film history and directed several experimental films. \nAll films will be shown Tuesdays at 2 p.m. at the Appleton Museum of Art\, 4333 E. Silver Springs Blvd.\, Ocala\, and at 7 p.m. at the College of Central Florida\, 3001 S.W. College Road\, Building 8\, Room 110\, unless otherwise noted. Films at the Ocala Campus are free and open to the public. Films at the Appleton are free to all museum and film series members; nonmembers pay museum admission. Films may contain mature content. \n\nAbout the Film\n“Long Flat Balls”(NR\, Norway\, 2006\, 1 hour\, 43 minutes) \nThose that attendance last season’s enjoyed the screening of the Norwegian comedy heist film Long Flat Balls III: Broken Promises so much that the film series reached out to director Harald Zwart to express gratitude for his with getting us a copy of the film that could be screened in the US with our equipment.
