Artist Spotlight : Cody Christeson

~By Tyler Waters

Cody Christeson began his interest in writing as a child, using Transformers and G.I. Joes to tell many a sordid tale. From these rudimentary beginnings he wrote his first story at five and though he changed his primary interests repeatedly throughout his life, he never completely stopped writing creatively.

His favorite writers include, but are not limited to, J.D. Salinger and Langston Hughes.

He does not have any one favorite genre and when asked began squirming in his seat, finally capitulating, "I like stories and poems that tell believable lies". He feels as though these "believable lies" undeniably influences his writing. After college he plans to pursue a career teaching and writing, thus making the very most of his natural ability to write, a gift born in the simplicities of childhood long gone.
