Microbiology Labs

Laboratory sessions in Microbiology afford the students the opportunity for hands on experiences with microorganisms to enhance their didactic learning experiences.

Students run experiments in classical microbiology using standard supplies for growing, observing, and identifying microorganisms, including nutrient media, selective & differential media, and a variety of staining supplies.


Our Lab is equipped with:

  • Swift M3300D Microscopes (binocular scope with 1000x oil immersion capability)
  • Precision Incubators
  • Refrigeration Equipment
  • Growth Media
  • Staining Supplies

Also available is a video microscopy station for various demonstrations along with numerous prepared specimen slides.
