Welcome to the
Charles R. Dassance Fine Arts Center

The Charles R. Dassance Fine Arts Center has served the college and community since 1967. Named in honor of Dr. Charles R. Dassance, president emeritus, for his contribution to the cultural landscape of the college and community, it is a medium-sized facility for full-stage productions of theater, dance and music. Events in the Dassance Fine Arts Center support the cultural development of the college and community through student productions, guest artist performances, masterclasses, lectures, workshops and other activities. Departmental student performances held each semester are generally the culmination of successful coursework for CF students. Some of these events are CF Theatre productions, Musical Theatre Ensemble, Patriot Singers, Wind Symphony, Chamber Ensembles, the CF Performing Arts Series and a variety of community-based arts performances.
The Dassance Fine Arts Center enjoyed an extensive renovation completed in 2007. This included the creation of a new sound engineer booth, new auditorium seating, set construction shop, extensive lobby renovations, new lobby restrooms, and replacement of the house lighting system and digital sound system. The Black Box Theatre serves as rehearsal space as well as performances by CF Theatre for Young Audiences.
