Law Enforcement Training
We have three Law Enforcement Academies scheduled each year. They begin each month of January, May and September.
Classes meet Monday through Thursday, 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., and some Saturdays, 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Applicants for the next academy beginning in May 2012 must complete an academy application packet. Once you have completed the packet, you must call Academy Coordinator Colacone at (352) 873-5838 to schedule a packet review. The last day to schedule and have a review is April 17, 2012. Student notification will be on April 18, 2012, class orientation will be on April 24, 2012 and class will begin on May 9, 2012.
