Law Enforcement Training

We have three Law Enforcement Academies scheduled each year. They begin each month of January, May and September.

Classes meet Monday through Thursday, 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., and some Saturdays, 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Applicants for the next academy beginning in January 2011 must complete an academy application packet. Once you have completed the packet, you must call Academy Commander Lemieux at (352) 873-5838 to schedule a packet review. The last day to schedule and have a review is November 15, 2010. Student notification will be on November 17, 2010, class orientation will be onNovember 29, 2010 and class will begin on January 4, 2011.
