Dual Enrollment Fact Sheet

Benefits

  • The CF Dual Enrollment program provides college courses that meet high school graduation requirements and are transferable to universities.
  • Dual Enrollment jumpstarts a student's college career, and it’s close to home!
  • Tuition is free and college textbooks are provided at no cost to public school students in the CF Dual Enrollment program. 
  • Students are offered access to college resources, facilities and services, including tutoring. They can join clubs, participate in activities and get involved!

Criteria

Admission: (Submit all by deadline)

  • Classification as a high school junior or senior
  • Submission of an online CF Dual Enrollment application by the application deadline.
  • Submission of acceptable, current scores on an approved placement exam (SAT, ACT, PERT).
  • Submission of a current high school transcript with appropriate high school GPA.

Registration:

  • Appropriate paperwork from the high school (blue book form for public school, permission letter for private school and home schooled students) submitted at time of registration.

Application and Registration Information

All new students must complete in online application and submit all required documents by the posted application deadline to participate in the program.

2014 Application Deadlines New Students Only:
Priority Summer Application Deadline:                     March 6
Final Summer Application Deadline:                        April 3
Priority Fall Application Deadline:                            May 1
Final Fall Application Deadline:                               June 19


How do I know which classes to take?
Go to www.CF.edu, click on Schedules, and then Credit Courses. Use this schedule to look up the times and days of the available courses and then ask your guidance counselor for advice.

Summer schedule available on the website:           March 4, 2014
Fall schedule available on the website:                  April 1, 2014

2014 Registration Dates and Information:

[NOTE: New students – you will select a time to register after you complete online orientation. Returning students who have previously completed a dual enrollment course – you will register at the specific times outlined below.]

Summer 2014
Priority registration:  April 1 Returning students - 8 a.m.
New students – in the afternoon, select time on portal
Make up/late registration:  April 23 New students - select time on portal
All others - 9 a.m
Fall 2014
Returning student registration:  April 30 Returning students - 12:30 p.m.
Priority registration: May 14 New students who are registered for summer classes - 8:30 a.m. , New students starting fall - select time on portal.
Make up/late registration: July 16  New students - select time on portal
All others - 9 a.m.
