Dual Enrollment Fact Sheet

Benefits

  • The CF Dual Enrollment program provides college courses that meet high school graduation requirements and are transferable to universities.
  • Dual Enrollment jumpstarts a student's college career, and it’s close to home!
  • Tuition is free and college textbooks are provided at no cost to public school students in the CF Dual Enrollment program. 
  • Students are offered access to college resources, facilities and services, including tutoring. They can join clubs, participate in activities and get involved!

Criteria

Admission: (Submit all by deadline)

  • Classification as a high school junior or senior
  • Submission of an online CF Dual Enrollment application by the application deadline.
  • Submission of acceptable, current scores on an approved placement exam (SAT, ACT, PERT).
  • Submission of a current high school transcript with appropriate high school GPA.

Registration:

  • Appropriate paperwork from the high school (blue book form for public school, registration form for private school and home schooled students) submitted at time of registration.

Application and Registration Information

All new students must complete an online application and submit all required documents by the posted application deadline to participate in the program.

2015 Application Deadlines New Students Only:
Priority Spring Application Deadline:               Sept. 25, 2014
Final Spring Application Deadline:                  Nov. 4, 2014
Priority Summer Application Deadline:           March 4, 2015
Final Summer Application Deadline:              April 15, 2015


How do I know which classes to take?
Go to www.CF.edu, click on Schedules, and then Credit Courses. Use this schedule to look up the times and days of the available courses and then ask your guidance counselor for advice.

Spring schedule available on the website:                    Sept. 15, 2014
Summer schedule available on the website:                   Feb. 23, 2015

Registration Dates and Information:

[NOTE: Marion County students ONLY  - New students – you will select a time to register after you complete online orientation. Returning students who have previously completed a dual enrollment course – you will register at the specific times outlined below.] Citrus and Levy counties – registration is coordinated through your guidance counselor.

Spring 2015
Returning student registration: October 9 Returning students - 9 a.m.
Priority registration: October 22 New students – select time on portal
Late registration:  November 19 New students – select time on portal
Summer 2015
Returning student registration: March 18 Returning students - 9 a.m.
Priority registration: April 8 New students – select time on portal
Late registration:  April 29 New students – select time on portal
