The Applied Welding Technologies program is exclusively offered at the Jack Wilkinson Levy Campus in Levy County.
Students in this program will prepare for industry certification and employment as welders and flame cutters, tack welders, welder assemblers, arc cutters, arc welders, combination welders and production line welders. The program provides supplemental training for individuals previously or currently employed in these occupations.
Program content includes communication skills, leadership skills, employability skills, and safe and efficient work practices. Also included is the use of gases and/or welding processes to assemble parts according to diagrams, blueprints or written specifications.
The program is available with full-time or part-time options. Classes are held during the day and in the evening and run Monday through Thursday. Full-time students can complete the program in four semesters.
