CF CELEBRATES SUCCESSFUL ANNUAL FUND CAMPAIGN
(OCALA, Fla.) Feb. 28, 2013 — The internal campaign of the College of Central Florida Foundation Annual Fund has exceeded its $25,000 goal and raised a record $33,500, thanks to support from CF employees and students.
The purpose of the campaign is to garner much needed private funds to support the work of faculty and dreams of students. Each year, the campaign takes on a clever and competitive theme. The 2013 Great CF Fitness Challenge got the CF family moving.
“The internal campaign is our CF family’s opportunity to show students, our peers and the community that those closest to the college’s mission believe in it enough to give beyond their service as employees,” said Joan Stearns, vice president of Institutional Advancement. “The internal campaign shows just how strong CF is from the inside, out. The 2013 theme, which was great fun, also provided an opportunity for the foundation to support wellness among the CF family.”
Annual Fund support can be designated for scholarships, faculty grants, program development through the Promise for the Future Fund, Dreamkeepers emergency relief for students, or left undesignated to meet the college’s greatest educational needs.
