CF Patriot Singers, Marion Civic Chorale to Perform 'Bluegrass Mass'

The College of Central Florida Patriot Singers and the Marion Civic Chorale will present “The World Beloved: A Bluegrass Mass” at the CF Ocala Campus. The performance will be held Friday, Feb. 8, at 7:30 p.m. in the Charles R. Dassance Fine Arts Center, 3001 S.W. College Road. The doors open to the public 30 minutes before the performance.

“The CF Patriot Singers will be previewing the first half of ‘The World Beloved: A Bluegrass Mass’ by Carol Barnett, which they will perform in February at Carnegie Hall with members of the Marion Civic Chorale,” said CF Assistant Professor Matthew Bumbach. “It is an honor to be invited to perform at Carnegie Hall and exciting to perform such a fantastic new work!”

Proceeds from the concert will directly support the choir’s travel to perform at Carnegie Hall on Feb. 18. Several special guest artists will also perform live bluegrass music at the CF concert.
