CF Offers Security Officer Training

The CF Institute at the College of Central Florida is accepting enrollment for security officer training.
16-Hour Unarmed Security Officer Supplemental course will meet Monday through Thursday, Feb. 4 through 7, from 6 to 10 p.m. at the CF Hampton Center, 1501 W. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala. This course is part of the 40 state-required hours for the unarmed security officer. The course fee is $115 and students must register by Thursday, Jan. 31.
Security Officer 28-Hour Armed will meet Feb. 25 through March 2, Monday through Friday from 6 to 11 p.m. and Saturday from 8 to 11 a.m. This course will meet at RD Tactical Gun Solutions, 1031 N.E. 16th St., Ocala. The course provides the additional state-mandated training for the Class G armed security license. Weapon and ammunition are the responsibility of the student. The course fee is $205 and students must register by Wednesday, Feb. 20.
A Class D license is a prerequisite to the Class G license; however, students may take the classes in any order. Manuals are included in the cost of each course. To register, visit CFItraining.cf.edu or contact the CF Institute at 352-873-5804.
