Security Officer Training at CF Hampton Center

The CF Institute at the College of Central Florida is accepting enrollment for security officer training at the CF Hampton Center, 1501 W. Silver Springs Blvd.

24-Hour Unarmed Security Officer will be held Aug. 20-25, Monday through Friday from 6 to 10 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon. This course meets a portion of the 40-hour requirement to obtain the Class D security license; however students must complete the 16-hour supplemental course prior to filing the initial license application. The fee is $130 and students must register by Thursday, Aug. 16.

16-Hour Unarmed Security Officer Supplemental course will meet Monday through Thursday, Aug. 27-30, from 6 to 10 p.m. This course is part of the 40 state-required hours for the unarmed security officer. The course fee is $115 and students must register by Thursday, Aug. 23.

Security Officer 28-Hour Armed will meet Sept. 17-22, Monday through Friday from 6 to 11 p.m. and Saturday from 8 to 11 a.m. This course will meet at RD Tactical Gun Solutions, 1031 N.E. 16th St., Ocala.The course provides the additional state-mandated training for the Class G armed security license. Weapon and ammunition are the responsibility of the student. The course fee is $205 and students must register by Monday, Sept. 10.

A Class D license is a prerequisite to the Class G license; however, students may take the classes in any order. Manuals are included in the cost of each course. To register, visit CFItraining.cf.edu or contact the CF Institute at 352-873-5804.
