CF Theatre to Present Shakespeare's 'Tempest'
Feb. 16, 2012
College of Central Florida Theatre will present “The Tempest” at the Ocala Campus in March.
Performances will be held Wednesday through Friday, March 28-31, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 1, at 3 p.m. in the Charles R. Dassance Fine Arts Center, 3001 S.W. College Road. Doors open to the public 30 minutes before each performance. Regular admission is $12 for adults and $6 for students. CF student admission is free for all performances with CF ID.
“Our version of Shakespeare’s ‘Tempest’ is a lively adaptation of the Bard’s original work,” said Robert O’Brien, CF assistant professor of theatre. “‘The Tempest’ is all about Prospero’s magic brought to life through the collaboration of all of the theatrical elements available to us. Our production is a little bit of ‘Shakespeare du Soleil.’”
