Tim Ryan enters his 11th season as the College of Central Florida’s Men’s Basketball Coach. Last season culminated in the National NJCAA Championship in Hutchinson, Kansas. Coach Ryan has the longest streak of consecutive appearances in the FCSAA State Tournament with eight appearances. Over the past ten seasons at CF, Coach Ryan has produced Six All-Americans, more than any other Junior College in the country. This season 10 former CF players will be playing in the NCAA.
This summer Coach Ryan was asked to participate with USA basketball. He was an On-the-Court Coach for the 19U team in Colorado Springs at the Olympic Training Facility. The 19U team went on the win the Gold Medal in Prague.
A former player at New York City's Power Memorial Academy and Wilkes College in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., Ryan's coaching career began in 1993 at Clearwater Central Catholic High School, where he spent four seasons coaching teams from the freshmen to varsity level. He was named head coach at St. Petersburg Catholic High School in 1997, and led the program to its first two Pinellas County Private School Tournament championships and the school's second and third appearances in the regional playoffs.
Ryan enjoyed similar results upon his move to the college ranks. He spent three successful seasons as associate head coach at Hillsborough Community College in Tampa, where he helped lead the Hawks to an average of 20 wins per season, two state tournament appearances, and a Suncoast Conference.
Coach Ryan was also heavily involved in AAU with successful teams for both Girls and Boys. He also coached Camp at the Prestigious Five-Star Basketball Camp. Ryan’s work at CF extends beyond the basketball team as he is the Coordinator of CF’s Intramural sports program and runs the popular CAMP PATRIOT basketball camp for local youth annually in December and the summer months.
Ryan holds a Master's degree in psychology from National-Louis University. He and his wife, JoAnne, have four children, Tim, 27, Nicole, 25, Veronica, 21, and Tommy, 18.

Assistant Coach Lance Foreman
Patriots men's basketball coach Tim Ryan has added a fast-rising young coach to the CF staff in former NCAA Division II player and University of Central Florida graduate assistant Lance Foreman.
An Orlando native, Foreman played four years at North Carolina's Lees-McRae College, collecting all-academic honors and a Bachelor's degree in sports management.
Foreman launched his coaching career in 2007 as junior varsity head coach and varsity assistant at Gainesville's St. Francis Catholic High School. He spent two seasons at hometown American Athletic Conference program UCF, serving as student manager in 2010-11 and graduate assistant 2011-2012. He earned his Master's degree in sports and fitness from UCF in May 2012.
