What type of degree do I want?

To determine which degree or program is right for you, consider your career goals for the future. Do you want to earn a bachelor’s degree? Or are you more interested in training that will prepare you to immediately enter the workforce? CF offers more than 75 programs of study, including the new Bachelor of Applied Science in Business and Organizational Management with specializations in Agribusiness Management, Health Care Management, Management Information Systems or Public Safety Administration. In addition, CF will offer a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education degree program beginning in August 2011. Here are the paths you can follow with each degree/certification. START AT CF, TRANSFER TO A BACHELOR'S DEGREE PROGRAM

• Associate in Arts Degree: An A.A. permits students to transfer into the junior year of a bachelor's degree program.
• Associate in Science Degree: An A.S. prepares students to enter the workforce or transfer into specific bachelor's degree programs.

EARN YOUR BACHELOR’S DEGREE AT CF

The new Bachelor of Applied Science in Business and Organizational Management has specializations in Agribusiness Management, Health Care Management, Management Information Systems or Public Safety Administration.

START AT CF, ENTER THE WORKFORCE

• Associate in Science Degree: CF offers two-year A.S. programs in many of today’s hottest career fields that will prepare students to enter the labormarket with specific technical skills or transfer into specific bachelor’s degree programs.
• College Credit Certificate: Certificate programs can be completed in one year and will provide job-entry technical skills. Enhance your job skills and also earn credit towards an A.S. degree.
• Postsecondary Adult Vocational (workforce) Certificate: A PSAV certificate program provides training for job-entry technical skills.
• Applied Technology Diploma (ATD): An ATD program provides entry-level courses in a specific area that can be applied toward an A.S. degree.
• Non-degree seeking, college credit students can pursue adult enrichment or career exploration, teacher certification, renewal or extension.

Making the decision about your future career direction and goals is one of the most important decisions you'll make in your lifetime. It will be to your advantage to make this decision prior to entering college so that you can be placed in the correct major and be advised appropriately. Every time you change your major, it can be costly in terms of time and money because all majors have different course requirements.
