Freshman Composition Skills II (3)
Prerequisite: ENC 1101
This course builds upon the compositional skills (including grammar and rhetoric) introduced in ENC 1101 with the writing of expository and argumentative essays. Editing and revising techniques and the MLA format are emphasized. The course is also an introduction to the basic concepts used in reading and writing about literature. Specifically, the course explores the three principal literary genres — fiction, poetry, drama — and the terms that apply to an understanding of those genres. Gordon Rule applies.
