Workshop and Conference Travel Information

 

Faculty Funding for Conferences/Professional Development Travel:

All full-time faculty and adjuncts (currently under contract with CF) may apply for funding of professional conferences and other course related professional travel activities. Requests are evaluated by three members of the Teaching/Learning Steering Committee (TLSC) and approved by the current T/LI Coordinator. Members of the TLSC represent different disciplines in order to provide discipline-specific information relative to each particular request. All Faculty SPD funding applications are processed by the Professional Development Coordinator, who is the budget custodian for faculty SPD funding.

Funding for Career & Professional Employees
While most of our professional development needs are addressed through workshops in the Professional Development Center, there may be times when an employee has an opportunity to attend a conference off campus that is relevant to his/her job functions.
Limited funding is available to all full time employees (upon completion of their probationary period) and approved by the CPEC council representative and the Professional Development Manager. CPEC SPD Request forms should be submitted four weeks prior to the departure date, along with CF’s Travel Approval and Reimbursement Request form.
