Museums and Galleries
The Appleton Museum of Art houses more than 18,000 objects that range from Ancient Egyptian artifacts to international Contemporary fine art. The Appleton Museum’s permanent collections illustrate objects from each continent except Antarctica and include Mediterranean Antiquities; European and American painting, sculpture, and decorative arts; Pre-Columbian and African artifacts; as well as Asian art and artifacts primarily from China, Japan, and India.
The Webber Center Gallery is the center of art and cultural programs on the college’s Ocala campus. Local and national traveling exhibits appeal to the general public and the college’s diverse student body. Exhibits range from contemporary art and photography exhibits to exhibits that explore science, history and culture.
The Visual Artists’ Society of CFCC includes a mix of student artists enrolled in the college’s Visual and Performing Arts programs as well as practicing artists throughout north central Florida.
Music, Theatre, Film and Print
CFCC hosts a variety of musical and theatrical events through the CFCC Foundation Performing Arts Series and Dinner Theater, and student groups such as Theatre CFCC, Patriot Band, and Variations Show Choir. Through the International Film Series, the college promotes understanding and awareness of our multi-cultural award. Films are screened year round at the Ocala campus and Appleton Museum of Art.
IMPRINTS is CFCC Ocala’s award-winning student literary and fine arts magazine. Established in 1993, IMPRINTS is published once a year showcasing the best in student poetry, prose, photography, and art.
