The College of Central Florida is in the process of planned system upgrades, and almost all services will be temporarily unavailable during Feb. 5 – March 1. These upgrades will support better online services, simplified processes and improved access to academic and financial information. Services will resume March 2.

Frequently Asked Questions
During CF’s system upgrade period, you will not be able to access certain services but CF is committed to supporting all students and partners during this time. This FAQ is sectioned by department; please select the applicable area below:

How long will the system updates take?
These planned system updates are set to begin on Feb. 5 and end on March 1. Services will resume March 2.
What is available while the system is temporarily paused?
All campuses are open and operating at regular business hours during this time.
All classroom functions will continue unchanged, with students able to access their courses in Canvas and complete all online and in-person coursework. Students are able to log in to their MyCF student portal. Student life events will continue as planned.
CF departments will be available by phone, email or in person.
What is unavailable?
Since the system will be in the process of updating, CF will not be able to make changes to any records during this time. This will impact functions such as applying to CF, registering for classes, or making online payments. See a complete list of functions affected by department below.
What will be different after the system upgrades are complete?
Most processes will continue to operate the same way as before, but with more streamlined support on the back end.
A key change will be a fresh new look for the MyCF student portal. It will be easier to navigate and more mobile-friendly.
Why is CF going through a system upgrade right now?
The system upgrades were needed to keep services running smoothly. Once the planned upgrades are complete, the new system will build on CF’s current services and add advanced technology to make student processes faster and easier.
Admissions
When is the last date to send in my application for the Spring B semester?
The last day CF will be accepting applications for Spring is January 29. Applications will be available again starting March 2.
Can I make changes to my admissions application during the upgrade period?
No, the system will be unavailable through March 1. You can make changes starting March 2.
I’ve already completed my application but need to submit documents. How do I do that during this upgrade period?
It is recommended that students wait until March to submit documents. However, you are still able to submit documents in person.
Can I still schedule a campus tour in February?
Yes, join us at any of our campus locations for a tour! You can see available dates and times at

Advising
Can I still meet with my adviser?
Yes, advising appointments are available during this time. Please use your advisor’s Calendly link, located in Canvas, to schedule an appointment. You may also email your advisor directly.
Can I make changes to my academic pathway?
No. During the system update, changes to academic pathways will not be able to be processed.
I still need to attend orientation for Spring B. When will the next orientation session take place?
Orientation for Spring B will resume once the update is complete in March.
Business Operations
Will there be any changes to Accounts Payable?
All invoices received prior to the system upgrade period will be processed as normal. Invoices received during the upgrade period will be processed in March.
Will the Post Office be open?
The Post Office is operating as normal.
Will there be any changes to the purchasing process?
Some changes to Purchase Order processes may go into effect after the upgrade period. If a vendor is affected, they will be contacted by the Purchasing department.
Will I still be able to rent CF venues during this time?
All venue rentals are operating as normal.
Can I apply for a job at CF during this time?
Job applications will be available, but start dates for new employees will be paused during the system upgrade and will resume on March 23.
Financial Aid
When will I be able to get my financial aid?
CF’s Financial Aid office will be disbursing aid at the end of January and again starting March 11. Specific disbursement dates are dependent on each student’s individual aid circumstances.
Will I be able to see my aid offer during this period?
Yes, you can log into the Financial Aid dashboard on your MyCF portal to see updates.
What other options are available to me as a student for financial assistance?
We understand that this pause in services may be difficult for students and have developed a list of available financial resources, such as our Patriot Pantry and Patriot Fund, at
CF.edu/FinanceHelp.
Can I still submit my Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) during this time?
Yes, please complete your FAFSA at your earliest convenience. Your FAFSA offer will be processed when services resume in March.
Can I still get my Spring B books with financial aid at the bookstore?
You will be able to purchase textbooks at the bookstore utilizing financial aid starting March 5. The bookstore charging period ends March 13.
Registrar/Graduation
Can I register for classes during the upgrade?
No. The system will be processing updates so we will not be able to register students for new classes during this time. Course registration will be available again starting March 2.
When is the last day to register for classes for Spring B term?
Feb. 3, 2026
Will there be alternate registration during the upgrade?
No. The system will be going through upgrades so it will not be able to process an alternate registration.
When is the last day to withdraw from Spring A classes?
Feb. 2, 2026
What happens if I withdraw from Spring C classes during the upgrade period?
You will still be able to submit the withdrawal form on the MyCF portal during the upgrade period, but the form will not be processed until system upgrades are complete in March. The Spring C withdrawal deadline is March 31.
Will I still be able to receive or send my transcripts?
Official transcripts will not be available during Feb. 4 – March 5. Any transcripts requested online at
Parchment.com during the update will be collected and fulfilled once the update is complete.

When should I register for graduation in May?
We recommend graduating students apply for graduation by Jan. 30, 2026. The graduation application will be unavailable during the upgrade period.
Student Accounts
How can I pay for my classes during the upgrade?
You may continue to pay for your classes in person at the cashier’s office using cash, money order, check or credit card. During the system update, payments cannot be made through the MyCF portal.
Please note that payments made during this time will not immediately appear on your online statement, but they will be reflected once you log back into the portal in March.

Will I receive any refunds during the system upgrade period?
No. Refunds will be processed after the system upgrades are complete.
