What to expect during CF’s sonography program

As a DMS student, you will gain knowledge through a variety of learning environments:

  1. Traditional classroom setting including interactive lessons with your instructors and peers
  2. Hands-on weekly skills lab with one-on-one feedback
  3. Hours of simulation experiences each semester
  4. Clinical education from some of the best practicing sonographers in Marion, Citrus and Levy counties.

Outside the classroom, CF provides student support services like tutoring, counseling, job placement and more to ensure you’re successful every step of the way.

How to start earning your sonography degree

The DMS program is limited access, with additional requirements beyond the general admissions application. Your first step to getting started will be to attend an information session, which will cover helpful details about the program and allow you to apply to CF for free. These sessions are offered virtually throughout the year.

Once admitted to CF, you can meet with your academic advisor and register for the required general education courses (if not already completed at another institution), then move into your DMS-specific courses.
