Your Privacy
Your privacy is very important to us. Simply stated, our policy is to collect no personal information about you when you visit our website unless you affirmatively choose to make such information available to us.
Website Tracking
When you visit our website, our web server automatically recognizes only the Internet domain and IP address from which you accessed our website. This information does not result in the identification of your email address or other personal information.
In addition, we use Google Analytics to gather information regarding the volume and timing of access to our website by collecting information on the date, time and website pages accessed by visitors to our website. We do this so that we can improve the content of our website, and this information is not shared with other organizations. Again, only aggregate information is collected, and individual visitors’ personal information is not identified.
If you choose to share personal information with us, either by sending us a message or filling out an electronic form with personal information, we will use the information only for the purposes you authorized. Some of the information may be saved for a designated period of time to comply with Florida’s archiving policies, but we will not disclose the information to third parties or other government agencies, unless required or authorized to do so by state or federal law.
Communication Preferences
The College of Central Florida sends official and emergency communications to students via phone call, text message and email. Official notifications will also be posted to the CF social media accounts. By enrolling at CF, students consent to receive communications pertaining to college experience including admissions status updates, financial aid disbursements, tuition fees and refunds, academic progress, emergency situations and other necessary updates.
Text Message Consent
Students opt into text messages from the College of Central Florida through the admissions application. In the application, by selecting Yes to allow text messages from the College of Central Florida, students agree to receive text messages from College of Central Florida. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of admission.
To opt-out, reply ‘STOP’.
Community members and prospective students may receive text messages about upcoming events or admissions-related information by opting in via a contact form on the CF.edu website. The contact form will clearly state the purpose and estimated frequency of the text message. To stop receiving text messages, text STOP, QUIT, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, or STOP ALL to the number that sent you a message.
Email Opt-In and Opt-Out
You can opt into email communications from the College of Central Florida through a contact form on the CF.edu website or the admissions application on the MyCF portal. Communications other than essential student communications will have a clear unsubscribe option in the footer of the email. Unsubscribing from marketing emails will not unsubscribe you from communications required for your enrollment or employment at CF.
