Bookstore

The CF Bookstore provider is transitioning from Barnes & Noble to MyCF Books (provided by BibliU) this summer.

Barnes & Noble’s last date of operation will be Thursday, June 18, 2026. There will be a brief transition period before the bookstore reopens with BibliU on Monday, July 27, 2026, for in-person service.

BibliU offers a streamlined, all-inclusive coursework service called MyCF Books that provides easy access to all assigned digital materials on day one for eligible classes. Rather than paying per textbook, students receive online access to all materials at a significantly discounted rate, paid through a standardized student fee. This program will be piloting for students in the Summer B term, with a full rollout in the Fall semester.

BibliU also offers convenient access to course materials through the BibliU app, which is free to download from bibliu.com and lets you read your course materials offline, reducing the need for high-speed internet. Log in using your Patriots mail.

If you wish to purchase your textbooks individually instead of through the MyCF Books program, you will have the option to opt out. See important details about opting out below.

FAQ about BibliU

How does MyCF Books work?

The required material for your eligible courses, such as eBooks and courseware, will be accessible through Canvas on the first day of class. Look for a link on your course page. Some courseware may be delivered through a separate link. Please speak to your instructor if you cannot locate the courseware link.

How do I pay for MyCF Books?

Starting Fall 2026, the cost of MyCF Books is built into CF’s standard student fees, payable when you settle your balance for tuition for the semester. All students are automatically enrolled in MyCF Books and must opt out by the end of add/drop of each semester if they do not wish to participate.

Do I need to buy anything separately from the campus store?

Some courses may require a printed workbook or lab manual that must be purchased separately through the BibliU bookstore. For digital materials included in the program, no purchase is necessary—access is automatically provided.

How do I opt out of MyCF Books?

If you wish to opt out of this program, you can do so during the add/drop period via the BibliU link provided on your Canvas course. You will have the option to opt out up until the last day of add/drop. Please note that if you opt out of the MyCF Books program, you will be responsible for securing all course materials for that semester through third-party bookstores. The opt out is for all courses for that term — there is no option to choose whether to participate for one or some courses while opting out of others. Opt outs are effective only for the upcoming term. You will have to opt out of future terms if you do not wish to participate.

Students are encouraged to evaluate whether MyCF Books is the most fiscally responsible option for acquiring their textbooks for each term.

Can I opt back in after opting out?

Yes, you can opt back in any time before the deadline (end of add/drop) using the same methods: the opt-out link through Canvas or by emailing support@bibliu.com.

How do I find out what materials are required for my courses?

If you are participating in MyCF Books, all required materials will be automatically available to you via Canvas. If you are opting out of MyCF Books, you can find the list of materials required for each course on the CF website here, or by looking in your syllabus for each course.

I didn’t use the materials. Will I still be charged?

Yes. All students enrolled in a participating course are automatically granted access and billed unless they opt out by the deadline, even if they don’t use the materials.

I missed the opt-out deadline. Can I still get a refund?

No. Refunds are only available if you opt out before the deadline. These policies are in place due to agreements with publishers and distribution partners.

I dropped the course. Will I receive a refund for the MyCF Books charge?

If you drop the course before the opt-out deadline, you will not be billed by CF for MyCF Books items within that course. Drops made after the deadline may still incur a charge.

I have an extension for my course. Can I keep access to my materials?

Yes. Email support@bibliu.com to request an extension on your materials.

What should I do if I have trouble accessing the materials?

BibliU provides 24/7 technical support. Contact them at support@bibliu.com for assistance.

I prefer printed books. What are my options?

Some printed version of the textbook may be available to purchase or rent through the BibliU bookstore starting July 27, or you can purchase the textbook through a third-party bookstore. Be sure to opt out of the MyCF Books materials to avoid being charged for the digital version.

I purchased books through Barnes and Noble. How do I sell them back?

As of June 12, Barnes and Noble is no longer be accepting returns/buy backs. Students are recommended to sell textbooks to a third party bookstore if desired.

Can I buy books in store?

The BibliU bookstore is anticipated to open on Monday, July 27, and will have a limited range of physical textbooks along with CF-branded merchandise available.
