The Cardiovascular Technology program instructs individuals in the knowledge, psychomotor skills and professional behavior necessary to gain employment in the fascinating practice of adult cardiac sonography and invasive cardiovascular technology. Program participants will be trained to perform invasive and peripheral examinations to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of the cardiovascular system.
Offered only on the Ocala Campus, this program uses CF’s cardiovascular simulation cardiac catheterization lab and echocardiography suite to provide students a hyper-realistic environment to practice their procedural skills.
This is a limited access program, with additional criteria for program admission and course registration. It requires graduates pass the Cardiac Credentialing International (CCI examination for RCIS: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist or RCS: Registered Cardiac Sonographer Exam) to gain employment.
