About the Film
“Pre Fab!”(NR, USA/UK, 2023, 1 hour, 36 minutes)
Pre Fab! Has been called “the last Beatles story to tell about how it all began.” The film chronicles the rise of skiffle music and its impact on post-World War II British youth, the influence of American Rock ‘n’ Roll and how, in 1956, a boy named John Lennon rounded up friends including Paul McCartney and George Harrison to form a group called The Quarrymen.

Orlando Star North Films
This is a special film series exclusive screening event of this film that is not yet released to the public, with a bonus film talk with the director.
Director Todd Thompson of Orlando’s Star North Films will introduce his film and answer questions after the screening. Thompson is a creative director, producer, and writer who has enjoyed a career both in front and behind the camera. His favorite role, however, has always been that of a storyteller. He has more than 20 years of experience working with The Walt Disney Company and other well-known consumer brands and also boasts a modest resume of award-winning films.
His most recent is the 2022 Emmy-nominated “Woman In Motion” (Paramount+), which chronicles the story of Star Trek’s Nichelle Nichols and her epic journey to bring diversity to our space program after standing up and asking NASA the question: “Where are my people?” In 2022, “Woman In Motion” was named an ambassador film for the American Film Showcase (AFS), a partnership with the Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and USC’s School of Cinematic Arts.
