Join us Tuesday, March 30, at 5 p.m. at the Webber Center to celebrate the work of local artists belonging to the Visual Artists’ Society in an opening reception for the Summer Spotlight XXV Exhibition. The exhibition, which will be open to the public at the College of Central Florida Webber Gallery May 16-July 28, is an biannual tradition for CF and the Webber Gallery. With over 100 members from all over Marion County and Central Florida, including professional and amateur artists, and many of CF’s Talented students, this VAS exhibition displays a variety of styles and mediums.
The exhibition will be judged by Ronda Richley who has 50 years of art experience as an educator and various art business ownerships from coast to coast. She received her Master of Studio Art degree from the University of California. Her art work has been on display in Barcelona, the UK, Art Basel Miami, New York, Zurich and Los Angeles. She has judged both student and professional art exhibits. Horse Fever 2021 introduced her to Ocala where she has recently moved. Her horse Sunny Daze can be found at the College of Central Florida Vintage Farm.
Summer gallery hours are Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The gallery is closed Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and college observed holidays. For more information call 352-854-2322, ext. 1552.
This event and exhibition are free and open to the public.
