Summer Spotlight XXVI Opening Reception and Awards Ceremony

Join us Friday, May 26, at 5 p.m. at the Webber Center to celebrate the work of Central Florida artists in an opening reception for the Summer Spotlight XXVI Exhibition. Presented by the Visual Artists’ Society, the exhibition, which will be open to the public at the College of Central Florida Webber Gallery May 15-July 20, is an biannual tradition for CF and the Webber Gallery.
The exhibition will be judged by Ronald Gibbons, a full-time painter who lives in Neptune Beach, and has exhibited paintings nationally and internationally. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Sculpture from the Kansas City Art Institute and a Master of Fine Arts in Printmaking from Ohio University. Gibbons will select works for awards including Best in Show, first through fourth places and Honorable Mentions.
Summer gallery hours are Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The gallery is closed Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and college observed holidays. For more information call 352-854-2322, ext. 1552.
