The College of Central Florida’s Ira Holmes International Film Series presents a full season of films, film talks and special events.
All films will be shown Tuesdays at 2 p.m. at the Appleton Museum of Art, 4333 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala, and at 7 p.m. at the College of Central Florida, 3001 S.W. College Road, Building 8, Room 110, unless otherwise noted. Films at the Ocala Campus are free and open to the public. Films at the Appleton are free to all museum and film series members; nonmembers pay museum admission. Films may contain mature content.
About the Film
“Yesterday”(PG-13, UK, 2019, 116 minutes)
After a freak accident during a worldwide blackout, a struggling musician wakes to discover that he is the only person in the world to remember The Beatles, so he launches himself to superstardom performing their songs. The film stars Ed Sheeran and Kate McKinnon in supporting roles.

Travis Atria
Author and Musician
The afternoon screening at the Appleton Museum includes a bonus film talk with Travis Atria, who will lead a pre-screening discussion about the magic of the Beatles’ song.
Atria is a distinguished author and musician whose multifaceted career spans acclaimed literary works and notable musical achievements. His writing has been featured in publications such as Rolling Stone, Vanity Fair, The Believer, and Wax Poetics. His musical compositions have been featured on platforms such as the Sony film “Love Again,” FX’s “Better Things,” MTV’s “The Real World,” and GQ.com. He has performed at prominent festivals including Bonnaroo and SXSW.
