The College of Central Florida’s Ira Holmes International Film Series presents a full season of films, film talks and special events.
All films will be shown Tuesdays at 2 p.m. at the Appleton Museum of Art, 4333 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala, and at 7 p.m. at the College of Central Florida, 3001 S.W. College Road, Building 8, Room 110, unless otherwise noted. Films at the Ocala Campus are free and open to the public. Films at the Appleton are free to all museum and film series members; nonmembers pay museum admission. Films may contain mature content.
About the Film
“Linda Linda Linda”(R, Japan, 2005, 1 hour, 54 minutes)
For three friends, their dream of playing the final high school concert together is dashed when their lead vocalist quits the band. Desperate, the recruit the first person they see: a Korean exchange student whose comprehension of Japanese is limited at best. It’s a race against time as the group struggles to learn three songs in three days. The soundtrack fuses Japanese bangers with original music composes by James Iha of the Smashing Pumpkins.
