Hands-on Educational Dentistry
Located on the Ocala Campus, CF’s Dental Hygiene Clinic provides affordable preventative dental hygiene services to CF students, employees and members of the community. Services are provided by dental hygiene students under the direct supervision of licensed dental professionals in a modern educational clinic. A licensed dentist is on staff to perform examinations, oversee patient care and support the clinical education of our students.
Because the clinic is an educational setting, appointments may take longer and may require more than one visit. Services are available by appointment and are based on each patient’s needs and the students’ clinical requirements.
Available Services
Available services may include oral health assessments, preventive and periodontal cleanings, dental radiographs, fluoride treatments, sealants, oral cancer screenings, teeth whitening, and individualized oral hygiene education. Although a dentist is on staff, the clinic does not provide restorative procedures such as fillings, crowns, bridges, dentures, root canals, or extractions. Patients requiring these services will be referred to an appropriate dental provider.
