Diversity • Equity • Inclusion
At the College of Central Florida diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) is central to our vision and mission. Enjoying a culture in which DEI is embedded part of the framework strengthens our learning and work environment, strengthens our partnerships in the community, and promotes success and innovation.
Connect with Us
We believe …
We are best able to learn and grow together when we incorporate our different life experiences, knowledge, expertise, innovations, talents and identities. ODEI collaborates with campus and community partners to create transformative experiences that will empower students, faculty and staff to connect their knowledge and values to their role in helping to create a just global community.
Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion
The College of Central Florida stands firmly on principles of justice and equity. We affirm a culture where open dialogue, diverse backgrounds, viewpoints and perspectives are not only encouraged but welcomed. We denounce all acts of racism, hate and violence and we avow our belief in equal access and opportunity for all ̶ students, employees and guests of our institution.
Through a deeper and more personal engagement on the issues of injustice we commit ourselves to restorative practices that support healing, guided by a desire to lift each other up and not tear each other down. We stand as allies with our community to improve educational and workforce opportunities that level the playing field of opportunity and economic security for those who have historically been marginalized.
We know that we are better because of the rich diversity that our students, employees and guests bring to the college and we do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, ethnicity, religion, gender, pregnancy, age, marital status, national origin, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran status or disability status.

Diversity and Inclusion Committee
The committee was established to cultivate a climate that values diversity, equity, inclusion and justice; act as a resource for all collegewide cross-cultural programs; support collegewide diversity, equity, inclusion training initiatives; and develop a diversity plan that is aligned with the College’s strategic plan.
The Diversity and Inclusion Committee is a cross functional team made up of representatives from students, faculty, career and professional staff and administrators.

The planning process is currently underway with an anticipated completion during the Fall 2021 semester.
