Respiratory Care, A.S.

About

The Associate in Science degree in Respiratory Care prepares individuals to perform invasive, noninvasive, and peripheral examinations of the cardiopulmonary system at the request of physicians to aid in diagnoses and therapeutic treatments. Includes instruction in reviewing and recording patient histories and clinical data, patient care, investigative and examination procedures, diagnostic procedures, data analysis and documentation, physician consultation, equipment operation and monitoring, and professional standards and ethics.

This program is pending accreditation and the first class is anticipated to begin fall 2023.

This program is limited access.

Limited access programs have admissions processes and criteria beyond general college admissions. While any student meeting the minimum criteria is encouraged to apply, not all applicants may be accepted.

The pathway for this degree is coming soon! In the meantime, please explore its A.A. pathway, which is intended for students transitioning into the A.S. degree. This A.A. transfer pathway allows students to complete program prerequisites and general education courses while awaiting a place in program.
