Businesses are increasingly subject to process and production standards. Quality engineers are involved in developing systems to ensure products or services are designed and produced to meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations.

The Associate in Science in Engineering Technology Quality Specialization at CF qualifies graduates for entry-level positions in a variety of fields across manufacturing and services industries.

Graduates of this program are eligible to be enrolled in the CF Bachelor of Applied Science in Business and Organizational Management program or transfer to a bachelor’s degree program at another higher education institution.

What is a Green Belt?

Greem Belt is the third level of Six Sigma certification, above White and Yellow Belts. The White Belt Certification provides a basic methodology overview, and Yellow Belt Certification covers basic training in quality improvement methodology. “ The Six Sigma Green Belt, under the supervision of a Six Sigma Black Belt, analyzes and solves quality problems and has to complete a project on Six Sigma. They learn the problem solving framework (DMAIC) Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve & Control for improving processes.

Council for Six Sigma Certification

Six SigmaThe College of Central Florida is a registered training provider for the Council for Six Sigma Certification. The largest Six Sigma accreditation provider in the world, the Council for Six Sigma Certification serves as an Official Industry Standard of Six Sigma Accreditation. It ensures that Six Sigma Certified individuals have been exposed to the complete Six Sigma Body of Knowledge according to rigorous criteria for education and testing.
